„Formy” (Forms) is an online design magazine published by the Faculty of Industrial Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. It publishes peer-reviewed problem-oriented articles – six to eight essays per quarter. The magazine also includes Krótkie Formy (Short Forms) edited by a student team – several texts a month.
We believe that the Polish design community needs such a double voice. It allows you to present different perspectives, exchange experiences, and provide an opportunity to confront attitudes and verify judgments.
We hope that the demanding form of the articles will prompt readers to deeper reflection and initiate an engaged discussion about the role of designers in a changing world, influencing the shape of the discipline and methods of student education. We want the magazine to reach not only the academic community but also actively engaged designers and design critics.
