The purposeful design of digital solutions and products should go hand in hand with deliberations on the nature of this profession and ethical challenges related to its daily practice. Set deep in the “fluid” reality, dealing with designing (mainly) commercial solutions, we are prone to manipulation. We are easily dominated by big concerns, which use our potential to further their plans of global supremacy of the datasphere. The author offers a sober and pragmatic approach to design issues and encourages individual considerations about the value system followed by the architects of the digital world.
