4 Circular economy as a remedy for capitalism
Circular economy has been advertised as a solution to the problems of increasing greenhouse gas emissions and material use. It consists in recycling materials as long as possible and reusing them in the production process, repairing consumer goods and minimising the consumption of material objects. The article discusses the dangers of circular economy, including the rebound effect, as well as its technological and social barriers from the economy point of view.
